Description

We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Chef position, in Ilford. This is a permanent position, working 9am to 2pm, with the option to stay on until 5pm, assisting in one of the rooms.  The Nursery has the capacity for over 60 children.

We are looking for a Nursery Cook who can run the kitchen in maintaining high standards, promoting health and safety and legal requirements, and cooking fresh healthy meals to meet the needs of the nursery.

Having a current DBS and a food and hygiene qualification is essential for this position.  Experience of working in a Nursery would be an advantage but is not essential.   

We are looking for a friendly, experienced cook, who can manage the kitchen but also be able to work as part of a team.  

If you have experience of working in a Kitchen as a Nursery chef, Nursery Cook or Kitchen Assistant, then this could be a suitable role for you.

Nursery Chef Requirements:

• Be a team player
• Build great relationships with children and team
• Good communication skills
• Friendly and enthusiastic
• Food and Hygiene Certificate 

Nursery Chef Duties

• Preparing and cooking fresh meals for all children and staff.
• Managing the children's dietary preferences and allergies.
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
• Stock ordering and rotation.
