45 hours a week 
£32K - 38K salary 

We have a great opportunity to join a Preschool Nursery in Eltham as a Nursery Manager.  This is a full time all year round role, working 45 hours a week Monday to Friday.  At the Preschool Manager you will manage all aspects of the nursery and working closely with the Deputy Manager.  

This Preschool is open from 7am to 6.30pm, with the typical shift being 7am -4.30pm and one late day of 9am - 6:30pm.  This all year round role is 39 weeks managing the preschool and during the school holidays you will lead the holiday creche for children 1-8 years old.

Nursery Manager requirements:  

  • 2 Years post qualification experience
  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Excellent communicator and to give support to other members of the team and to be a good team player
  • To be able to work on own initiative
  • To support the nursery as an ambassador
  • To be ready to learn and improve skill level
  • Supporting and developing the nursery team
  • flexible approach to work

 

Nursery Manager duties:

  • To manage and be responsible for the day to day running of the nursery
  • To implement the daily routine
  • To be responsible for the staff and children in their care at all times, ensuring a high standard of physical, intellectual, emotional and social care and development of all children
  • To ensure appropriate heads of staff prepare and run activities for small groups of children on a daily basis and to give advice on the same to other members of staff if and when necessary, e.g. young staff or students
  • To ensure the safety and hygiene of all equipment, repairs or replacement as necessary
  • In formulate, operate and evaluate a yearly programme of activities, following the guidelines of the foundation stage curriculum, that is suitable to the age range of the children
  • To promote equal opportunities throughout the nursery
  • To work alongside parents of children with special educational needs to achieve full integration with the nursery
  • To liaise with and support parents
  • To ensure the Directors are appropriately updated on matters relating to the Nursery
