Description

Shiraka Ltd are currently looking for a Nursery Room Leader to join a well established 4 room Nursery in the toddler room. The nursery is located in Chelmsford. 

This is a great opportunity to join a Nursery full of friendly staff with a capacity for over 60 children. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of Level 3 Early years qualification and at least 12 months experience as a Senior Nursery Nurse or Room Leader in a similar role.

If you have an enthusiastic and positive attitude along with excellent communication and written skills, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents and staff, then this may be the right opportunity for you.

Nursery Room Leader Skills/Qualifications:

  • Level 3 (or above) full and relevant Childcare Qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ post qualification
  • Relevant childcare qualifications in accordance with OFSTED guidelines
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS
  • Empathetic, caring and friendly
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude
  • Patient
  • Proven supervisory and coaching experience

Nursery Room Leader Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification or higher in Early Years qualification
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to be organised and efficient
  • The ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
  • Acting as Key-worker and to observe
  • A working knowledge of the Children’s Act.
  • Good communication skills both with children and parents
  • Ability to form good interactions with children and use own initiative
